The nominations for the GAA All Stars Hurling for 2009 have been announced.

All-Ireland runners up Tipperary have secured the largest amount of nominations for this year's All-Star hurling awards.

Thirteen Tipp players are nominated for awards, while All-Ireland winners Kilkenny have 12 nominations, followed by Galway with six and Waterford with five.

All but three of last year's All Stars team are nominated. The exceptions are Kilkenny's Noel Hickey and James 'Cha' Fitzpatrick and Eoin Kelly of Waterford.
