Kerry 2-16
Tipperary 0-11
Kerry beat Tipperary in Killarney, despite Tomas O Se's first-half red card.
The veteran defender got his marching orders two minutes from the break, but the Kingdom were still far too strong for John Evans' men.
Bryan Sheehan stepped up to the plate with two second-half goals, the first coming from a 38th-minute penalty after a foul on Kieran Donaghy.
The Premier County had taken an early lead after Declan O'Sllivan opened the scoring but three Colm Cooper points helped the hosts to a 0-9 to 0-5 cushion at the half.
