London 2-20
Louth 0-11
London cruised to victory over Louth with 15 points to spare and claim the Nicky Rackard Cup in the process. In their third successive appearance in the Nicky Rackard Cup final, London finally claimed the silverware at Croke Park.
Cork native Martin Finn laid on a memorable display of finishing which netted him a 2-08 tally. Finn who was to the fore throughout the match pointed a 65’ on 14 mins and followed this with two goals on 24 mins and right on the stroke of half-time leaving the wee county trailling by two goals at the break. The Exiles certainly looked too strong for this grade as they led by 2-7 to 0-7.
