2010 All-Ireland SFC Final: Cork claim victory over Down...

Cork 0-16 Down 0-15

Cork are All-Ireland Senior Football Champions after defeating Down by a single point.

Down's Dan Gordon received a yellow card on the 44th minute.

Graham Canty came on for Cork to a tremendous applause, in the 42nd minute.

Half-Time: Cork 0-05 Down 0-08

Cork take on Down in this year's All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final at Croke Park [123rd All-Ireland SFC]. The winners will be the first county other than Kerry and Tyrone, to get their name on the Sam Maguire Cup since Armagh's breakthrough success in 2002. Cork head into the game as favourites.

Down have won all five All-Ireland deciders they have appeared in and victory today would draw them level with Cork in the winners table.

The Rebels’ captain Graham Canty faced a late fitness test on Sunday morning, with doubts persisting over his participation due to the hamstring injury he suffered against Roscommon, earlier this year. It has now been confirmed that he will not start for Cork.

Down's Ambrose Rogers hasn't been named in Down's starting line-up for the final. The captain has failed to recover from the cruciate knee ligament injury which ruled him out of the thrilling semi-final win over Kildare.

Cork XV: Alan Quirke, Eoin Cadogan, Michael Shields, Ray Carey, Noel O'Leary, John Miskella, Paudie Kissane, Alan O'Connor, Aidan Walsh, Ciaran Shehan, Pearse O'Neill, Patrick Kelly, Daniel Goulding, Donncha O'Connor, Paul Kerrigan.

Down XV: Brendan McVeigh; Daniel McCartan, Dan Gordon, Damian Rafferty; Declan Rooney, Kevin McKernan, Conor Garvey; Peter Fitzpatrick, Kalum King; Daniel Hughes, Mark Poland, Paul McComiskey; Brendan Coulter, John Clarke, Martin Clarke.

Referee: David Coldrick (Meath)

Attendance: 81,604

2010 All-Ireland SHC Final: Tipperary win and Kilkenny denied 5-in-row...

Kilkenny 1-18 Tipperary 4-17

Tipperary get an impressive win over Kilkenny in the 2010 Senior Hurling Championship Final. Kilkenny are denied their historic five-in-a-row.

Match Points:
Lar Corbett got another goal in the dying seconds of the match (third goal for him on the day).

Noel McGrath got another goal for Tipp on the 43rd minute.

Lar Corbett scored his second goal for Tipp in the 41st minute.

Half-Time: Kilkenny 1-09 Tipperary 1-10

Shefflin did not last long in the match. He can't continue due to injury and Michael Rice comes into the match. Shefflin got a warm reception from the crowd as he left the pitch. It's no surprise that he hasn't lasted after such a serious injury.

Tipp's Lar Corbett scored a goal in the 10th minute.

Kilkenny take on Tipperary in the 2010 Senior Hurling Championship Final. The Cats are going for an unprecendented 5-in-a-row.

Looking at the bookmaker's odds, Kilkenny are 2/5 to lift the Liam McCarthy cup once again. Tipp are 9/4, with the draw 12/1.

Henry Shefflin will start for Kilkenny, despite suffering a cruciate ligament injury only a few weeks ago.

Kilkenny XV: PJ Ryan, John Dalton, Noel Hickey, Jackie Tyrrell, Tommy Walsh, John Tennyson, J.J. Delaney, James 'Cha' Fitzpatrick, Michael Fennelly, TJ Reid, Henry Shefflin, Eoin Larkin, Eddie Brennan, Richard Power, Aidan Fogarty.

Tippeary XV: Brendan Cummins, Paddy Stapleton, Paul Curran, Michael Cahill, Declan Fanning, Conor O'Mahony, Padraic Maher, Brendan Maher, Shane McGrath, Gearóid Ryan, Patrick Maher, John O'Brien, Noel McGrath, Eoin Kelly, Lar Corbett.
