Counties to compete for Liam McCarthy Cup...

Limerick manager Justin McCarthy will face his former charges Waterford in the Munster semi-final, while Galway’s first game in the Leinster SHC will be against Laois.

Cork and Tipperary drew the short straw of a quarter-final tie, with the game set to go ahead in Thurles given the Premier County’s win in Pairc Ui Chaoimh this year.

The winners of that tie will play Clare in the semi-final.

In Leinster, three quarter-final games were set up with new boys Galway and Antrim facing Laois and Dublin respectively. In the other tie Offaly play Wexford. All-Ireland champions Kilkenny were not in the draw as they have a bye to the semi-finals and the draw for those games will not take place until the three quarter-final games have been played.
