Limerick v Meath in the All-Ireland SFC Qualifiers Match Pick...

Limerick take on Meath in the last match of the Senior Football Championship Qualifiers (Round 4) in Portlaoise on Saturday (Aug 1) @ 7:00 PM.

Limerick manager Mickey 'Ned' O'Sullivan will start with the same side that suffered a heartbreaking Munster final defeat to Cork for this clash against Meath.

Dual stars Mark O'Riordan and Stephen Lucey will be back in action again just six days after helping the Limerick hurlers to an All-Ireland quarter-final victory over Dublin.

Limerick Team:
S Kiely; J McCarthy, S Gallagher, M O'Riordan; S Lavin, S Lucey, P Ranahan; J O'Donovan, J Galvin; P Browne, C Joyce-Power, S Buckley; G Collins, S Kelly, I Ryan.

Meath manager Eamonn O'Brien has kept faith with the team that defeated Roscommon last weekend for this encounter.

With Kevin Reilly still sidelined due to a back injury, Anthony Moyles continues at full back, while Mark Ward has to be content with a place on the subs bench once again as Nigel Crawford and Brian Meade continue their midfield partnership.

The in-form Joe Sheridan leads the attack once more.

Meath Team:
P O'Rourke; C O'Connor, A Moyles, E Harrington; S Kenny, C McGuinness, C King; N Crawford, B Meade; P Byrne, J Sheridan, S Bray; D Bray, B Farrell, C Ward.

The Treaty County hammered Meath in last year's All-Ireland qualifiers (4-12 to 4-03 ). A defeat that brought Colm Coyle's tenure as Meath manager to an abrupt end, and his successor O'Brien will be hoping to avoid a similar fate. However, this clash is expected to be a much tighter affair with the winners going on to meet Connacht champions Mayo in the All-Ireland quarter-final on Sunday week.

The Royals are favorites going into this game. But, I think the Shannonsiders have been more impressive this season. I am going for a close encounter and Limerick to win by a narrow margin.

Paddy Power Match Winning Odds:
Meath 8/15
Draw 15/2
Limerick 2/1

Handicap Betting:
Meath (-2.0) evens
Handicap Draw (-2.0) 17/2
Limerick (+2.0) evens

Winner: Limerick
