2010 Leinster SHC quarter-final: Galway win comfortably over Wexford...

Galway 2-22 Wexford 1-14

Galway beat Wexford at Nowlan Park in the 2010 Leinster Senior Hurling Championship, to make it through to the Leinster Championship semi-final.

Galway's Ger Farragher was top-scorer with 0-13. Joe Canning got an injury-time goal in the first half, from a free taken outside the penalty area.

Half-Time Score: Galway 1-09 Wexford 0-06

In the second half, Wexford was able to keep in touch with Galway, when only a goal separated the sides at one point. Tomas Waters' 55th-minute goal had brought Wexford to life. However, that's as close as it got.

Galway had half-forward Andy Smyth dismissed in the 54th minute, when he received a straight red card for a elbow-led challenge on Wexford midfielder Colm Farrell. Wexford also had David Redmond and Diarmuid Lyng sent-off in the closing stages of the match.

Substitute Kevin Hynes scored his first Championship goal for Galway after been only on the pitch for two minutes.
