All-Ireland SHC Leinster Championship 2011: Dublin defeat Offaly...

Dublin 2-21
Offaly 1-20

Dublin were breathing a sigh of relief after edging out 14-man Offaly at Croke Park.

The winners dominated the third quarter but apart from that period the Faithful County gave as good as they got. Everything went against Offaly - who were understrength, lost Brian Carroll early on and had Derek Molloy harshly lined - yet they came extremely close to upsetting the odds today.

The favourite's tag certainly didn't rest comfortably on Dublin's shoulders in the first half and they could consider themselves rather fortunate to go in with a 1-9 to 1-8 interval lead, after Shane Dooley orchestrated a spirited Offaly display.
