Is Bradley in or out of the Derry panel?
It was reported yesterday that Paddy Bradley had walked out of Damien Cassidy's squad (Sunday) after being told that he would be making way for midfielder Joe Diver in the Derry full forward line for Saturday's All-Ireland qualifier against Monaghan. It is understood that he was unhappy at the prospect of being moved to another position for the match.
Then the Derry county board on Monday night issued a statement denying that the 2007 All-star Bradley had quit inter-county football. Also, his father Antrim manager Liam Bradley stated yesterday that he expects his son to line out against the Farney County on Saturday evening.
Well, what about the other rumours that Paddy has joined a London GAA club?
I guess we will know better what the story is, if Bradley shows up for the Oakleafers' training this evening (Tuesday).

Who knows what happened exactly last Sunday, but I'd be very surprised if Bradley is not playing for Derry on Saturday.
ReplyDeleteGreat player like that wouldnt quit that easily.
Derry will beat Monaghan again?!?
Paddy Bradley was back training with the Derry panel on Tuesday evening. It was alleged that he had informed manager Damian Cassidy last Sunday, that he was quitting the squad.
ReplyDeleteHe is expected to feature in Saturday's All-Ireland qualifier against Monaghan at Clones.
I have heard that injury and a loss of form were the reasons behind his decision to quit, rather than a row over his field position on the team.
