The times and venues for this weekend's Senior Football and Hurling Championship qualifiers were confirmed Monday afternoon by Croke Park. GAA chiefs have staggered the scheduling of next Saturday’s 10-game programme to accommodate TV coverage.
In round two of the football qualifiers, the following eight matches take place.
Each of the following start at 3PM:
Monaghan versus Derry in Clones.
Wexford will be hosting Roscommon in Wexford Park.
Tipperary face Sligo in Thurles.
Longford play Kerry at 5PM, in Longford.
The following matches all take place at 7PM:
Donegal taking on Clare at Ballybofey.
Westmeath taking on Meath at Cusack Park.
Wicklow facing Cavan in Aughrim.
Down plays Laois in Newry at 7.30PM.
In phase two of the hurling qualifiers, Wexford face Limerick at Wexford Park at 5pm, with Clare taking on Galway in Ennis at 7pm.
The GAA clarified that repeats of provincial ties are permitted in the football qualifiers but not in hurling qualifiers. The issue comes into focus on Saturday. A victory for Galway means they will face Cork in Phase 3 on Saturday July 18 as they have already faced the other side in Phase 3, Laois, in the Leinster SHC in May.
