Yesterday, we heard that Paddy Bradley may have quit the Derry football panel. Although, the Derry county board denies the reports and has insisted that he remains a part of the Oak Leaf panel.
And today, it is alleged that Martin Cahill has left the Cavan football panel ahead of their SFC qualifier against Wicklow on Saturday. If this true, then it is not the first time Cahill has done this. In 2007, he along with Paul Brady and Sean Johnston withdrew themselves from the Breffni squad after their county's exit from the Ulster championship. However, they returned to the county panel the following year.
What's going on? Is there some sort of trend starting among certain county players?

In '07 Cahill went out to Chicago to play with the St. Brendan's Football Club.
ReplyDeleteIf he has withdrawn from the Cavan squad, is going to the USA again to play football?
